The department

The London Corporate Finance team is the largest of the firm’s M&A teams outside the US. We are very much at the centre of European, transatlantic and emerging markets investing, advising on a broad range of transactions in the mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and secondaries arenas. We represent strategic, private equity and fund clients and specialise in complex, cross-border, multi-national transactions.

The position

We are growing our London private equity/M&A practice and seeking a Senior England & Wales qualified Corporate/M&A lawyer to join our team. Prior experience of high value M&A transactions is essential and prior exposure to private equity transactions is highly desirable. 

Responsibilities

You will be working as part of cross-border and interdisciplinary teams to advise on complex, high-value, cutting edge transactions.   You will be developing relationships with clients and actively engaging in business development and thought leadership initiatives and seeking out opportunities for new work.  You will be drafting legal documents clearly and concisely, creating solutions using legal knowledge and commercial judgement.   You will need to demonstrate that you can thrive in a team with high professional standards and a flexible client-friendly commercial approach.  You will need to demonstrate an appetite for business development, client relationship management and thought leadership.
